The VoIP Server
VoIP is a relatively new technology, one that allows the user to make free calls over their existing high speed internet connection. VoIP is technology that works by digitalizing a person’s voice and sending that digital information in data packets over the internet. There is lots of hardware and software that is involved in using the telephone over the internet and one of the most important parts is a VoIP server. The digitalized voice packets are sent to a VoIP server first where the pieces of voice data are reassembled before the information is forwarded to the message receivers.
